Your webmaster is proud to announce that he has won a First Place award at the Woburn Guild of Artists "Community of Artists" exhibition. The show was held on November 30 at the First Congregational Church in Woburn center.
If you get a chance, come over and join your neighbors in Woburn for a demo or a meeting. Their next scheduled demonstration is February 6, 2003. The demonstrator will be Al Mellet, a National Geographic Photographer. He will do a slide presentation on India. If you attended the RAA annual dinner last Spring, you will remember Al for his wonderful presentation on Afganistan.
The Woburn Guild of Artists meets on Thursday nights at the The New Horizons (the old Choate Hospital) at the top of the hill on Warren Ave. in Woburn. They start at 7:00 pm and end around 9:00 pm. In April or May they have an exhibition and they have a couple of plein-air excursions or museum visits a year.
Just about every Thursday, year round, some of the members of WGA meet at the New Horizons to paint and talk about art. These are informal sessions where people show up to do their own thing. Come join us and meet some new folks.
