RCTV Announces New Program, The Cultural Connection

Reading Community TV proudly announces a new tv program, The Cultural Connection, your local source for arts and cultural activities, organizations & education in Reading and surrounding communities. The first episode will begin airing on public access and Comcast channel 9 and Verizon channel 31, on Thursday, November 2nd at 7:30, 8:30 and 9:30 p.m.

The new program will be hosted by Jennifer Hart, Executive Director of Creative Arts, a nonprofit community school for the arts. Each half hour episode will feature two local arts or cultural organizations and The Cultural Connection calendar. The Reading Art Association and the Reading Civic Concert Band will be featured in episode 1.

RCTV's Executive Director Phil Rushworth and Hart have been working with several local groups to spur greater collaboration and coordination among local arts & cultural organizations in an effort to improve their collective impact and increase benefits to the area. The result of which is The Cultural Connection.

"Phil's commitment to other arts and cultural organizations is evident in his creation of this tv program." Hart continued, "Strengthening the art community will help us all to thrive, grow and bring more to the public."
