Here are the bios of the judges.
Louise Anderson, watercolor artist from North Reading, Massachusetts, is a graduate of the School of Practical Art, now The Art Institute at Lesley University in Boston.� She has studied with Hilda Levy and Alfred Tulk of New Haven.� While living in Connecticut, she taught at the Creative Arts Workshop.� She has taken workshops with Betty Lou Schlemm, Paul George, Peter Spataro,�Caleb Stone and other leading artists from Gloucester and Rockport.
Her course for Beginning Watercolorists and Beyond has won great acceptance in the area.� She has been teaching at The Arts Center in Wilmington since 1986.� The Elderhostel program has offered her watercolor workshop, Painting the New Hampshire Autumn Landscape , since 2003.
As an active exhibiting member of the Andovers Artists Guild, the Lynnfield Artists Guild, and the Danvers Art Association, her paintings have received many awards for excellence.� Her work may be seen at the Danvers Art Gallery, Route 62, Danvers, Massachusetts.
Chris Coyne is a Rockport, Massachusetts-based plein-air painter in the finest Cape Ann tradition.� Both self-taught and an acolyte of Caleb Stone, Mr. Coyne runs his own gallery on Bearskin Neck in Rockport, where he sells his own oil paintings, watercolors, prints and drawings.� Prior to painting full-time as a vocation, Mr. Coyne studied art at Connecticut College in New London, followed by almost 20 years in design and art-direction at various large corporations in New York.
