September 2006 Demo
Once again this year we had a Members' Demonstration
as our first demo of the year. This was an "In-the-Round" demonstration.
Three of our member artists were in the hall demonstrating their
skill.
The demo was held on September 13, 2006
in Guild Hall (middle side door), First Congregational Church,
Sanborn St., Reading. MA.
Our three artists this year were
- Florence Como - Oils
- Jeannette Corbett - Watercolor
- Tom Sutherland - Watercolor
Jeannette and Tom titled their mutual watercolor
demo "Dueling Brush Strokes".
We have some photographs of the event in case you could
not make it there in person.

Our new president, Tom Sutherland, opened the 2006 season
with some remarks and notices.
Florence Como did a demonstration of oil painting.
She drew quite a crowd.
She demonstrated a landscape in oil.
Tom and Jeannette worked on the same painting simultaneously.
They drew a considerable crowd as well.
Here you can see them just beginning to rough in the painting.
The painting progresses rapidly with two artists
working on it.
Almost done.
