Spring Show 2004

Our Spring Show was only for two days this year, Friday and Saturday, but it was a spectacular success regardless. The show was at the First Congregational Church of Reading.

Before we get to the photographs, here are the award winners:

Here are the first place award winners.




The stage was set with lots of flowers and a musical theme.




The crowd enjoys the art work and floral arrangements.





And, of course, Lucinda provided the music at the reception on Friday evening.




The judges for the show were Oliver Balf, Susan Kelley, and Ellen Rolli.

Oliver Balf

Oliver Balf received his education at the Tyler School of Fine Arts, and in NYC at Art Students League, Hans Hoffman School and New School. He is a member of the Founding Faculty Montserrat College of Art, and retired from a career in design/illustration for book publishers and Parker Brothers. Ollie's award winning paintings have been featured in countless exhibitions and was represented by the Judi Rotenberg Gallery, Boston. He is a member of the Rockport and North Shore Art Associations.

Susan Kelley

Susan Kelley is an award winning artist who creates beautiful paintings in oil, pastel, and charcoal. She is an artist member of the Rockport, North Shore, and Cape Cod Art Associations. In addition to studying art education at Framingham State College, she has studied with Master Painter Robert Cormier at the R.H. Ives Gammell School and with David Curtis.

Ellen Rolli

Ellen Rolli, a graduate of Masachusetts College of Art, had a career as an art teacher and then commercial art director before turning her focus to fine art. Ellen's paintings, which are characterized by expressive brushwork and saturated color, have received many awards. Her professional memberships include the North Shore Art Association and the Newburyport Art Association.
