The Spring show was held on May 13, 14, and 15. Your webmaster was out of town for the show, but thanks to Bud Knox we have some photos of the event.

Maris Platais, a New Englander born in Latvia, graduated from Tufts University and the Boston Museum School. He teaches at the Lexington Painters Guild, lectures and demonstrates across the Northeast, and has juried shows for many organizations, including the New England and Rhode Island Watercolor Societies. Nature, sea and land provide inspiration and subject matter for his plein air and studio work. His beautiful paintings and pen and ink drawings have won innumerable awards and are exhibited nationally and internationally. He is a member of the Guild of Boston Artists, the Academic Artists Assn, the American Society of Marine Artists and the Concord Art Association, where he has served as President.

Tom Gill studied art and painting at the Art Institute of Boston where he developed his colorful and expressive painting style. A professional artist, Tom currently works out of his Lowell studio and also teaches his unique style of figurative acrylic painting through demonstrations at local art associations across New England. His work is shown in galleries such as Francesca Anderson Fine Arts, the Brush Gallery, The State of the Art Gallery and the North Shore Art Association. His paintings have won numerous awards, including a recent award for his entry in the Contributing Members exhibit at the Rockport Art Association.

D'Ann Brownrigg is a watercolorist from Carlisle, MA., whose expressive and richly colorful paintings emphasize the personality of her subject matter, whether it be birds, florals, still life or other diverse subjects . She teaches watercolor painting at Lexington Arts and Crafts, where she will also demonstrate in May. D'Ann routinely exhibits her work there, as well as at the Concord Art Association, and North Shore Art Association. She has participated in New England Watercolor Society shows, and has scheduled upcoming solo shows at the Concord Council on Aging, and the Carlisle Library.
